The Sukarma nitya yoga
a birth, or an activity begun, under the Sukarma nitya yoga, the panchanga's own yoga found by summing the Sun's and Moon's longitudes, not a planetary combination yoga
What the tradition reads
Sukarma is the seventh of the twenty seven nitya yogas, the panchanga limb Wikipedia's article on the Panchangam describes as found from the sum of the Sun's and Moon's longitudes, a computation distinct from any planetary combination yoga formed by grahas placed together within a chart. Onesanatan.com reads its name as good deeds, names Indra as its ruling deity, and classes the yoga auspicious, a verdict astrogle.com's own reading confirms, describing a native who performs noble deeds, is magnanimous and charitable, and is generally wealthy as a result. The two sources agree without qualification here, treating Sukarma as one of the more straightforwardly favourable of the twenty seven, its fortune read as the direct consequence of right conduct rather than as an unearned stroke of luck.
The story
Indra, Wikipedia's article records, is the Vedic king of the devas and lord of the storm, celebrated above all for his defeat of Vritra, the great serpent whose coils had blocked the world's rivers and held back its rains, an act commemorated in his own epithet Vritrahan, slayer of Vritra. The article is explicit that Indra's power rests on his being a god of order, using his strength only against what obstructs the world's flourishing rather than for its own sake, restoring rain and sunshine as saviour of mankind once the block is broken. A yoga of good deeds, ruled by a god whose single most celebrated act was fought and won specifically to return a stolen benefit to a suffering world, fits Sukarma's reading of noble, wealth bringing conduct precisely: the good deed the tradition has in mind is not passive virtue but the deliberate, sometimes forceful, restoring of something good that had been wrongly withheld.
