The Harshana nitya yoga
a birth, or an activity begun, under the Harshana nitya yoga, the panchanga's own yoga found by summing the Sun's and Moon's longitudes, not a planetary combination yoga
What the tradition reads
Harshana is the fourteenth of the twenty seven nitya yogas, the panchanga limb found, as Wikipedia's article on the Panchangam sets out, from the sum of the Sun's and Moon's longitudes rather than from any planetary combination yoga read from particular grahas within a single chart. Onesanatan.com reads its name as joyous, delightful or thrilling, names Bhaga, god of fortune, as its ruling deity, and classes the yoga auspicious, a reading astrogle.com's own account matches closely, describing a native as intelligent and given to delighting in merriment and humour. The two sources agree without qualification here, treating Harshana as one of the more purely pleasant of the twenty seven, its joy read as sociable rather than reckless, fit for occasions where good humour itself is the point.
The story
Bhaga is named on Wikipedia's page for the Adityas as one of the twelve sons of the goddess Aditi and the sage Kashyapa, a group first numbering six to eight in the Rig Veda before later texts fix them at twelve, the Dvadashadityas, read there as corresponding to the twelve lunations of the solar year before their separate identities eventually merge into the single composite figure of Surya, the Sun. To be named among the twelve monthly suns is, in this telling, to carry a share of the same light that in its fullness lights the whole year, a portion of fortune allotted rather than claimed. A yoga of joy and delight, ruled by a deity whose whole identity is one bright fraction of the Sun's own yearly round, fits Harshana's cheerful reading closely: pleasure here understood not as an isolated stroke of luck but as one properly apportioned share of a much larger and steadier brightness.
