The Brahma nitya yoga
a birth, or an activity begun, under the Brahma nitya yoga, the panchanga's own yoga found by summing the Sun's and Moon's longitudes, not a planetary combination yoga
What the tradition reads
Brahma is the twenty fifth of the twenty seven nitya yogas, the panchanga limb computed, as Wikipedia's article on the Panchangam sets out, from the sum of the Sun's and Moon's longitudes rather than from any planetary combination yoga formed between two grahas in a single chart. Onesanatan.com reads the yoga's name as the Creator or the universe, an obvious echo of the god Brahma, and both onesanatan.com and astrogle.com class it auspicious, the latter describing a native born under it as trustworthy, ambitious and gifted with good discernment and judgement. Yet onesanatan.com's own table names not Brahma but the Ashwini Kumaras, the twin physician gods, as this yoga's ruling deity, a mismatch between the yoga's name and its stated deity that the source does not explain but that this entry records rather than silently resolves.
The story
The Ashwins, Wikipedia's article records, are twin Vedic gods of medicine and healing, born, in the post Vedic telling, when Sanjna, daughter of the divine architect Vishvakarma and wife of the sun god Surya, fled his heat in the form of a mare and was found and joined by Surya himself in the form of a stallion. Their healing feats run through the Rigveda: they raise the drowned Rebha back to see the sun after nine days bound in water, fit Vishpala with a working leg of metal after her own was lost, and restore youth and sight to the aged sage Chyavana, then take on his own identical form so that his wife Sukanya must correctly identify her rejuvenated husband among them. A yoga bearing the Creator's own name, yet placed by the tradition under two gods whose gift is restoration rather than first creation, fits its auspicious reading all the same: judgement and trustworthiness, the traits astrogle.com gives its native, are themselves a kind of healing skill, the discernment to mend what already exists rather than to begin entirely afresh.
