The second bhava
the second whole-sign house in the Vedic chart, Dhana Bhava
What the tradition reads
The second house, Dhana Bhava, the house of wealth, governs accumulated wealth and moveable possessions, the family into which a person is born, speech and the voice, food and what is eaten, and, in the classical texts, eyesight. It is not the house of income exactly, which belongs elsewhere, but of what has already been gathered and kept, savings, inherited wealth, and the material base a family provides before a person begins to earn anything independently. Because it governs speech, the tradition also reads the second house for how persuasively or carefully a person speaks, and a well disposed second house is associated with a pleasant, truthful voice as much as with material comfort. A strong second house, its lord well placed and free of affliction, is read as giving financial stability and a supportive family; afflicted, the tradition warns of debt, a strained relationship with one's own family, or a voice that causes more trouble than it resolves. It is counted a maraka, a house capable of threatening life when badly afflicted, on account of its position immediately following the first.
The story
Astrosutras.in's own line for the second house gives Dhana Bhava a bodily seat of its own: Uttara Kalamrita's significations read "Banking, possessions, moral values, eyesight, and throat," naming the throat and the eyesight directly among the house's own concerns, alongside the wealth and family the house is read for elsewhere. Paramarsh.app's Kalapurusha doctrine reaches the throat by an entirely different route, its own map of the twelve rashis, not the twelve bhavas: the page places the neck and throat at Vrishabha, the second sign, describing "neck, throat, vocal cords, tonsils, lower jaw, cervical vertebrae" as Vrishabha's own region. Its FAQ states that the scheme works by "each of the twelve signs governing a specific anatomical region," and its discussion of the sixth house calls that rashi based map, together with any house's own analysis, "distinct tools" rather than one single map of the chart's twelve houses. Vrishabha's throat and Dhana Bhava's throat therefore arrive by two separate pages, and it is Uttara Kalamrita's own line for the second house, not the cosmic figure's neck, that licenses reading the throat, and the eyesight beside it, as this bhava's own concern.
